She is Onyinye

A masterpiece of God’s craft
Mother Nature’s work of art
Tanned in bursting splendour

Fortifies the heart in super Valor

Her hair weaved in dread

Greatly knitted and braided

She is Onyinye

I recall to have seen the dawn and sunset on grasslands and windy hills
coming in solemn beauty like slow old tunes of Anambra
I have seen countless OF Ada Obi,
bringing the springing grass and the soft warm of Obi’s reign to unending memory.

I have heard the song of the old melody from ancient vocalist,
I have seen great paintings from world best artist;
But the loveliest things of beauty God ever has showed to me
Are her dimples, her hair, her voice, her eyes, and the cherished red curve of her lips

She is Onyinye

In deep imagination the picture never in doubt

In my faintest instinct it foretells no error

I am assured for you I have found love

So true, like a red, red rose
That’s newly sprung in June;
so soothing like the melody she sang often
That is sweetly played in tune

She is Onyinye

A love that once strayed me by
